Food Services Coordinator – Camp Bethel

Food service experience or training and staff management experience is preferred. This position is available immediately. Starting benefits package includes a salary of $36,000, optional family/personal medical insurance plan, a pension plan, paid vacation leave, optional on-site housing, and professional growth funds. Current Food Services Coordinator, Daniel Naff, will depart the role on March 6. We are excited for Dan as he starts a new career working as a Conservation Technician for the Mountain Castles Soil and Water Conservation District.

Camp Bethel (Fincastle, VA) is the outdoor ministry of the Virlina District Church of the Brethren. Our mission is to foster and build relationships with God, with each other, and all of God’s creation. We live our mission through our Christian camping programs, and availability of our facilities and services to all people. Summer Camps began at Camp Bethel in 1927, and in 1970 the camp became a year-round Retreat Center for guest groups and churches. Full-time staff at Camp Bethel includes: Camp Director, Barry LeNoir, Facilities Manager, Mickey Nichols; Program Coordinator, Kathleen Nettnin, Food Services Coordinator (seeking applicants), and Guest Services Coordinator, Elizabeth Brancati.
Camp Director – Brethren Heights

Camp Brethren Heights will have an opening for part-time Camp Director. The Camp founded in 1949 is 70 ecologically diverse acres on the western shores of Jehnsen Lake in the west central lower peninsula. CBH is 32 miles NW of Central Michigan University and 14 miles E of Ferris State University. The availability is planned to overlap with current Director Randall Westfall, who will depart in August after 12 years of service.
